Tim Bennett
Coming from a farming background with a father who was a Veterinary
surgeon Tim has always been heavily involved with
horses.
As a child he hunted and was a keen competitor at local show level. He was
also a member of the Western Hunt Pony Club.
When he left school he joined the Household
Cavalry Regiment where he rode for the British Army Eventing Team, Show
Jumped for the Regiment. He also rode on several State Escorts and for the
Household Cavalry Quadrille Display Team, performing with them at large
Agricultural Shows, Horse of the Year Show and the Royal Tournament.
He set up an
Equestrian Centre near Toronto, Canada before deciding to return to the
U.K. where he established a new Equestrian Facility at Brechin providing a
full range of disciplines to all levels of rider and starting a new
official British Eventing One Day Event.
He is on the British
Eventing Course Builder's Panel and has sat the Sports Council Child
Protection Course. He is a fully qualified first aider having sat the H.S.E.
Equestrian related 3 year course.

Isla Johnson-Wells
Isla, a farmer’s daughter is a professional
Event rider. She has trained with some of the top riders in the country.
She worked with Mrs. Sue Carson as head girl at Hulland Farm, Brassington
and for Miss. Patsy Day at Stubley Hollow Farm, Dronfield. She has been
responsible for schooling and competing all types of horse, from basic
schooling to advanced horse trials (Two Star 3 Day Events)
Isla
taught local Pony Clubs and instructed clients to Riding Club Open
standard whilst competing her own horse at British Eventing Horse Trials
from pre-novice to advanced three day.
Personal achievements to date
Burghley Four star International competitor, including being placed 24th
overall and best placed under 25 year old. Also best placed first time
rider at Burghley in 2001.
Competed at Badminton at Four Star International level and Burghley at
Four star International level in 2002.
Won
title of Young Rider National Champion at Bramham Three Star International
level 2000 and was selected for British Young Rider Team, to compete in
Young Rider European Championships at Hartpury, Gloucestershire. The team
won Bronze at the Young Rider European Championships. Gained title of best
British rider at the championships.
Placed
12th at Young Rider National Championships at Bramham Three Star
International level. Long listed for Young Riders European Championships
and completed at Blenheim Three Star International level in 1999.
Placed
2nd at Weston Park Two Star International level in 1998.
Won
Osberton Two Star International level in 1996.
Isla
continues to compete at all levels within British Eventing, British Show
Jumping Association and British Dressage. She currently has her own horse
Brigadier selected for the Olympic pathway by British Eventing. She
currently competes two horses for owners and schools dressage horses for
Mrs. S Carson who is an F.E.I. dressage judge. |
